Albany Police

Cash and camera stolen - A back bedroom window was broken at a home in the 1500 block of Tracy Court S.W. sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday. The caller reported that $500 in cash taken as well as a camera.

More obscene vandalism - Another car owner reported penises painted on his vehicle Saturday morning. This car was located in the 1800 block of Park Terrace Drive N.W. About half a dozen other Albany residents reported the same image painted on their vehicles Friday morning.

Clown car - Police received multiple calls late Saturday morning of two young men in their late teens or early 20s pulling up next to other cars, then spraying the occupants with windshield wiper fluid. One woman said she was sprayed in the face twice through her open window while driving in the 2300 block of Santiam Highway S.E. near Goldfish Farm Road. Police took a description of the vehicle but were unable to locate it.

Two injured in crash - Police investigated the scene of a crash near 38500 Century Drive south of Sunnyview at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday.

According to a police log Bonnie Jane Baldwin, 27, of Albany was driving north on Century Drive when she drove off the east shoulder of the road at about 55 mph. The 1999 Toyota 4Runner she was driving went into a ditch, struck a driveway culvert, then crashed head-on into a large tree.

Baldwin's air bag deployed, and she sustained minor injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Baldwin's passenger, Jamie Lee Sanders, 37, of Scio sustained serious injuries and was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis by a REACH helicopter, then transferred to OHSU. Sanders was wearing a seatbelt.

Baldwin was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Guns stolen - A resident of the 100 block of 21st Avenue S.E. reported Saturday his home had been "ransacked" sometime between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. Stolen items included a 357 magnum single action revolver 6-shot with blue barrel and reddish wood grips worth about $125. Also stolen were tins with collectable coins and two-dollar bills, two gold wedding bands, a set of Stanley tools and $50 worth of nickels. The total estimated value of the items stolen was $925.
