Three Oregon lawmakers will review the two-week-old legislative session and talk about Gov. Ted Kulongoski's proposed budget during a forum at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The event at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 N.W. Monroe Ave., is the first in a series of monthly town hall meetings sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Corvallis and the library.

Sen. Frank Morse, R-Albany, Rep. Lane Shetterly, R-Dallas, and Rep. Kelley Wirth, D-Corvallis, each have agreed to attend the meetings. Each meeting will include a presentation of a topic selected by the lawmakers.

There will be time for questions.

The meetings not only will inform residents, but they provide a chance for lawmakers to hear residents' concerns about the happenings in Salem, league officials said.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the library once a month through June.

Future meeting dates are Feb. 22, March 22, April 26, May 24 and June 14.
