Oct. 13
VANDALISM: At 1:35 p.m., officers discovered a third-floor escape door at Cauthorn Hall damaged. Eight different marks were found, each apparently an attempt to pry open the door. As a result of the damage, the door could not be latched. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
Corvallis Police Department
Oct. 5
THEFT: Between 8 a.m. and midnight, two pickup trucks were broken into in the 2000 block of Northwest Arthur Place. Two iPods and a textbook worth of a total of $200 were stolen.
Oct. 12
THEFT: Between 9 p.m. and noon, items worth a total of $2,000 were stolen from a car in the 200 block of Southeast Lilly Street. Items included a PlayStation worth $200, a shirt worth $20, an iPod worth $200, iPod speakers worth $200, an aviation headset worth $300, a bag worth $50, flight manual worth $130, a backpack worth $50, U.S. passport worth $80 and flight accessories worth $100.
ASSAULT: Police arrested Hunter Chambers Goldberg, 20, of 535 21st St. at 8:30 p.m. for fourth-degree assault in connection with an incident in which a woman was pushed down a flight of stairs.
Oct. 13
THEFT: At 2:30 p.m., a cell phone was stolen from a car in the 3000 block of Powderhorn Place.
