The Corvallis-Benton Chamber Coalition is looking for people who are new to Corvallis to help determine some of the winners at the 2010 Celebrate Corvallis event.

The event honors people, businesses and agencies that have helped to improve the community. During the Jan. 20 event, 11 awards will be presented.

The award winners are determined by a number of different committees, and chamber guidelines govern the makeup of each of the committees. The guidelines require that the committees each include one person who is relatively new to the community.

The chamber does not publish or share the names of selection committee members.

People interested in serving on one of the selection committees can send an e-mail to Michelle Davis, one of the organizers of the event, at mdavis@cb

chambercoalition.com. For questions about the process, call chamber President Mysty Rusk at 757-1505.
