The man accused of breaking into a home in south Corvallis while the family slept was indicted Wednesday.
Spencer Huff, 29, is charged with first-degree burglary and invasion of privacy. He has pleaded not guilty to both.
Huff allegedly broke into the house belonging to the Mattson family at about 3 a.m. April 23. Melissa Mattson, 26, woke to see a man in the bedroom. When she spoke, he went out through a patio door. When she peered out the door, the man was standing there.
Her screams woke her husband, Jesse Mattson, who had been asleep in the living room. He chased the intruder while his wife called 911. A police dog, Xar, found Huff hiding in some bushes a few houses away.
Melissa Mattson recognized Huff from a conversation they'd had a few weeks prior to the incident.
Huff is in Benton County jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
First-degree burglary is a felony; invasion of privacy is a misdemeanor.
No trial date has been set.
