Karla Chambers, the co-owner and vice president of Corvallis' Stahlbush Island Farms, will present a lecture Thursday on the topic "What Entrepreneurs Can Learn from Agriculture."
The free lecture begins at noon in the Construction and Engineering Auditorium at LaSells Stewart Center, 875 S.W. 26th St., at Oregon State University.
Stahlbush Island Farms grows and processes fruits and vegetables. The operation is 100 percent certified sustainable and organic. During the lecture, Chambers, a fourth-generation Oregon farmer, will discuss why Stahlbush Islands decided to commit to sustainable practices.
The lecture is sponsored by OSU's Austin Entrepreneurial Program, the College of Business and the Agricultural & Resource Economics Department at the College of Agricultural Sciences.
