KIND OF A BIG DEAL: 11:45 a.m., Memorial Union parking lot. A parking pass that had been reported stolen was spotted in a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle, a 19-year-old male student and Oregon State University football player, said he just got his vehicle to campus at spring break and didn't want to buy a parking pass. He mentioned this to a classmate, who offered him the pass. He wasn't sure who the student was. When asked why someone he barely knew would offer him a pass, the student said, "I thought he just wanted to be friends with a football player."

BAD DAY: 10:30 p.m., Wilson Hall, Oregon State University. Troopers were looking for the source of burning marijuana when a male student walked near, started cursing at them and asking why they were at his door. The man said he didn't have marijuana, but troopers found a pipe, lighter and marijuana on him. At that point, the 20-year-old man got angry. He cursed at the troopers, and threw his cell phone against the wall, breaking it. He then tore off his jacket, clenched his fists, flexed and got in a fight stance. The troopers took him to the ground to handcuff him. The man then apologized, said he was having personal problems and was angry because he'd lost a fraternity football game in which the other team was "playing dirty." Jersiah Tuisamatatele was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
