This log includes incidents in which there may have been a public disturbance or a risk to the public. Information comes from the Corvallis Police Department and the Benton County Sheriff's Office. It does not include all calls for service. The status of incidents may change after further investigation. Locations are approximate. People arrested or suspected in crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.
Wednesday, June 25
Criminal mischief: 6:42 a.m., 300 block Southeast Park Avenue, Corvallis. Police responded to a report of a broken car window and found that three vehicles had shattered windows. Officers believed the windows were shattered by a BB or pellet. All three cars were parked on the north side of the road facing west. No entry was made into any of the vehicles.
Criminal mischief: 7:30 a.m., 3400 block Southeast Shoreline Drive, Corvallis. A woman reported that someone used a BB or pellet gun to shoot out the driver's side window of her vehicle. The vehicle was parked on the street in front of her residence.
Throwing lit cigarette: 10:52 a.m., Northeast Circle Boulevard and Highway 20, Corvallis. An officer saw a woman throw a lit cigarette out of her driver's side window. She was pulled over and cited.
Thursday, June 26
Theft: 11:30 a.m., 1600 block Northwest Scenic Drive, Albany. A man reported a theft of a single-axle tow dolly from the driveway in front of his shop. The tow dolly was parked 35 feet from the road. The man estimated the dolly's value was $1,600.
Warrant arrest: 4:29 p.m., 100 block Northwest Fifth Street, Corvallis. A juvenile female turned herself in to police at the law enforcement building for having an outstanding warrant from Benton County Circuit Court for failure to appear in court on a stolen vehicle charge.
Friday, June 27
Warrant arrest: 2:14 a.m., Northeast Third Street and Buchanan Avenue, Corvallis. An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in Corvallis Municipal Court.
