"At what level will gas prices change the way you drive or what you drive?
Of the 426 people who responded to that poll question during the past week on gazettetimes.com, 311 (73 percent) said they have already made changes.
Other responses on what level of gas prices would change driving habits:
* $4.50 a gallon, 7 votes (2 percent)
* $5 a gallon, 15 votes, 4 percent.
* $5.50 a gallon, 6 votes (1 percent)
* $6 or higher, 18 votes (4 percent)
* "I can't or won't change the way I drive no matter how high prices go," 69 votes, 16 percent.
The poll appeared June 16 through 10:45 a.m. Monday on the Web site.
The current poll on gazettetimes.
com is a variation on a poll that appeared in May, looking again at the impact of gas prices.
It states:
"If gas prices continue to rise or stay above $4 a gallon:"
* "I'll ride my bike to work or school."
* "I'll take public transportation."
* "I'll bike or walk one or more times a week, leaving my vehicle at home."
* "I'll hitchhike one or more times a week."
* "I'm already doing one or more of the above and will continue to do so."
* "I'll continue to drive every day despite the high fuel prices."
* "None of the above."
The poll will remain online through mid-morning Monday.
