The Oregon State University Department of Art Visiting Artists and Scholars public lecture series continues at 7 p.m. Thursday with a free public lecture by visiting graphic designer Warren Lehrer.
Lehrer will speak in the Construction and Engineering Hall of LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU campus.
Lehrer is a book artist, graphic designer, writer and performer.
His books include "Crossin the BLVD," "The Portrait Series: a quartet of men," "GRRHHHH," "i mean you know," "versations" and "FRENCH FRIES." He's also co-written three plays, an opera, produced two audio CDs, several public radio documentaries and a mobile storybooth.
Lehrer is a professor of art at SUNY-Purchase and a founding member of the graduate faculty at the School of Visual Arts' Designer as Author program.
At the free public lecture, Lehrer will present excerpts of his new book in progress, "101 Bestsellers, the Rise and Fall of Bleu Mobley," an "illuminated novel" containing 101 books within it.
