This log includes incidents in which there may have been a public disturbance or a risk to the public. Information comes from the Corvallis Police Department, the Benton County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police. It does not include all calls for service. The status of incidents may change after further investigation. Locations are approximate. People arrested or suspected in crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

Wednesday, Sept. 24

MIP PARTY: 12:20 a.m., Poling Hall, third floor, Oregon State University. Five students were cited at the dorm for being minors in possession of alcohol. They were reportedly playing music loud and talking loudly during quiet hours. The students said they had alcohol both in the dorm and at a fraternity party.

CRASHED CAR: 7:53 a.m., Fern Hall and Grange Hall Road. A vehicle was found crashed and unoccupied. Inside, however, police found digital scales, multiple baggies and the odor of marijuana.

BURGLARY: Reported at 1:27 p.m., 500 block Northwest 18th Street. Residents found the rear sliding glass door forced open. Two laptop computes were reported stolen.

FOG ALARM: 9:55 p.m., Callahan Hall, Oregon State University. A fire alarm was activated at the dormitory due to a fog machine at a student dance during OSU's orientation week.

Thursday, Sept. 25

MIP: 3:03 a.m., Northwest 30th Street and Tyler Avenue. An officer dispatched to a fight came across a vehicle with its door open. A

20-year-old was found sitting in the car, passed out, with a large amount of vomit on the ground and in the door of the vehicle. The man was cited for MIP-alcohol and human waste.

BURGLARY: Reported at 10:03 a.m., Animal House, 646 S.W. Fourth St. A $230 fish tank and other items were taken, and about $300 in damage was done to the front door of the business.

BURGLARY: Reported at 10:20 a.m., Sigma Chi, 312 N.W. 25th St. An LCD television, X-box 360 and laptop computer were stolen from an unlocked room. Loss value was estimated at $3,200.

Friday, Sept. 26

DUII: 1:42 a.m., 14th Street and Polk Avenue. A 32-year-old Lebanon man was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and possession of marijuana and .17 percent blood-alcohol content. He was stopped for illegal stopping and almost hitting a pedestrian.

DUII: 3:11 a.m., Second Street near Polk Avenue. A 23-year-old Corvallis woman was arrested for DUII and refused breath sample. She was stopped for going 55 mph in a 25 mph zone.

SEX ABUSE: Reported at 12:08 p.m., Southeast Corner of Gill Coliseum. Sometime between 2 and

3 a.m., a 21-year-old woman was unlocking her bike from the rack and a male approached her, asking if she needed help. She said no, and the male grabbed her buttocks. The woman shoved her bike toward him, tripped and fell down. The male backed away, ran to a white delivery-style van and drove away.

FROM PARTY TO E.R.: 11:50 p.m., 300 block Northwest 13th St. A 20-year-old Clackamas woman, contacted at a house party, was unresponsive and taken to the hospital for evaluation. No further information was available.

Saturday, Sept. 27

DUII: 1:05 a.m., Third Street and Jefferson Avenue. A 25-year-old Eugene woman was cited with DUII, .13 percent blood-alcohol content. She was stopped for an improper left-hand turn.

FURNISHING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR: 10 p.m., 26th Street and Monroe Avenue. A state trooper on a bike patrol watched a 21-year-old exit the Superette market carrying a case of beer and then hand it to an 18-year-old in a group of males. The two then separated and walked away on different sides of the street. The 21-year-old was cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor. The 18-year-old was cited for MIP.

Sunday, Sept. 28

DUII: 12:57 a.m., 11th Street and Jefferson Avenue. A 19-year-old Medford woman was cited for DUII, .14 percent blood-alcohol content and for failure to obey a stop sign.

DOUBLE DUII: 3:22 a.m., 26th Street and Philomath Boulevard. A 22-year-old Corvallis man was arrested for DUII while picking up his fiancée, who had just been arrested a half-hour earlier for the same offense. The man had a blood-alcohol-content of .16 percent. The woman, a 21-year-old from Ione, was arrested at 15th Street and Philomath Boulevard. She had a blood-alcohol-content of .13 percent and had been stopped for failure to drive within a single lane.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: 11:35 a.m., vicinity of 23500 Highway 34, near Philomath. Deputies responded to a call of suspicious activity and arrested Nathan Alan Deffenbaugh, 32, of Sweet Home. He is suspected of felony fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), menacing, furnishing alcohol to a minor and five counts of reckless endangering. Little other information was available on the case.
