Students qualify for Laureate Society

Bryan Bremer and Alison Ulstad, both of Corvallis, were named to the Whitworth University Laureate Society for fall semester.

The students qualified for the academic honor society by maintaining a grade-point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.

Corvallis student makes dean’s list

Claire Goldner, a native of Corvallis, is among the 232 students at Whittier College who made the fall dean’s list.

Undergraduate students are awarded dean’s list honors if they earn a 3.70 grade-point average while completing a full-time course load (12 units) in the fall and spring terms.

Corvallis student graduates from OYCP

David Vargas of Corvallis graduated from the Oregon National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program, a statewide alternative high school, on Dec. 18 at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond.

Graduation indicates the completion of the five-month residential phase of the program. The ceremony marks the 46th time a class has graduated from the biannual program.
