Construction is continuing on the newest building on the Oregon State University campus, Austin Hall.

The 100,000-square-foot building is taking shape on Southwest Jefferson Way.

Named for OSU alumni Ken and Joan Austin, who donated $10 million toward the project, the building will be home to the College of Business.

It is scheduled to open in the fall of 2014.

A live webcam of the project can be viewed at http://webcam.oregonstate.edu/austin/

Why isn't parking required? Are the rules different for construction on campus vs the rest of the city? If so, what's that about?

Yes, and the university doesn't have to provide any parking. THe neighborhoods near campus can expect even more faculty and students trying to park in their neighborhood.
