It does not include all calls for service. The status of incidents might change after further investigation. Locations are approximate. People arrested or suspected in crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

NEIGHBORHOOD BREAK-INS: 3000 block of Northwest Tyler Avenue. Two residents on the block reported burglaries. Police were patrolling the area when they noticed two residences with broken windows. It appeared that someone had entered. Neither resident reported anything stolen.

Friday, Dec. 9

FURNISHING ALCOHOL TO MINOR: 5:06 p.m. 325 N.W. Second St. Wai Cheong Ng, 46, of Corvallis was cited on a charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor after a police cadet ordered a beer as part of a sting by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. Ng asked for the cadet's ID but told police he did not calculate his age correctly.

Benton County Sheriff's Office


ASSAULT: 9:54 p.m. 7341 N.W. Mountain View Drive. Brett Thomas Huggins, 20, of Corvallis was arrested after he allegedly threw his girlfriend through the air and she landed against the corner of her bed, then fell to the floor. He was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Saturday, Dec. 17

DUII: 1:35 a.m. Southwest Fifth Street and Southwest Jefferson Avenue. Hyun Jae Kim, 21, of Corvallis was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless endangering after he made an unlawful turn. His blood-alcohol content was 0.09 percent.
