Oregon State University is playing host to two major logging sports competitions later this month.

The collegiate competition is scheduled from March 28 through 30 at the Peavy Arboretum north of Corvalls.

The Association of Western Forestry Club Conclave is the regional qualifier for collegiate logging sports. And for the first time since 2003, the conclave has returned to OSU. Colleges from across the AWFC member zone will gather to compete in a variety of logging sports events and to learn about local forestry and resources management. For more information, see http:

On March 30, STIHL chainsaw manufacturer hosts its Timbersports Series, where the professional competitors begin their rounds at the McAlexander Field House on campus.
