Arlene Phelps Foster of Corvallis passed away March 1, 2012, in the loving embrace of her family and friends.

She knew how deeply she was loved, and the family is at peace now that she is finally at rest and home.

Born Arlene Phelps on Dec. 29, 1933, in Menan, Idaho, Arlene will be remembered as a loving mother, a sincere friend, caring nurse and loved grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gray of Depoe Bay, and her significant other, Don Wysoki of Adams, Laurie Lemoine and son-in-law Latham Perkins of Anchorage, Alaska, and Molly Mossman of Corvallis; brother, Don, and sister-in-law, Ten Phelps of Chubbuck, Idaho; brother-in law, Roland Cahoon of Salt Lake City, Utah; and sister-in-law Jan Phelps of Sandy, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrle and Hawley Phelps; sisters, Alice and Karen; brothers, Joe and Lanny; and her son, Danny.

A celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, at DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home in Corvallis. She will be interred in Montpelier, Idaho, beside her son and family.

At Mom’s request, remembrances can be sent to PS We Love Seniors in Corvallis; St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Mont.; or the Union Gospel Mission of Portland, all in care of DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home, 815 N.W. Buchanan Ave., Corvallis, OR 97330.
