Harris William Olson, a Minnesota native and longtime resident of Corvallis, died Thursday. He was 100.
Harris came to Corvallis in 1942 to work at Camp Adair. During the 1940s and '50s, he was a teacher and coach at Corvallis High School. Harris and his wife, Ellen, were administrators of the Olson Nursing Home in Corvallis for three decades.
Harris celebrated his 100th birthday on Oct. 8. He was honored with a reception at Regency Park Place, where he lived.
Survivors include sons Bill and Carlton, and daughter Carol Freeman.
