Linda Kay (Lemon) Hubbard, 64, died early Sunday morning, Jan. 13, 2008 due to sudden complications from Frontotemporal Dementia in Playa Vista, Calif.
Linda was born on March 4, 1943 in Eugene to James Ford Lemon and Barbara "Jane" Cheadle Lemon. Linda grew up in Monroe, graduated Valedictorian from Monroe High School, and received her Bachelor's Degree in English from Oregon State University.
She married Jim Hubbard Dec. 19, 1964 in Corvallis. Their marriage ended amicably in 1981 and they remained friends. Most recently, she lived in Eugene from 1992 to 2001, and then resided in Waldport from 2001 to 2006, and spent her last year in Playa Vista, Calif., in an assisted living community close to her youngest daughter.
Linda had many professions in her lifetime including teacher, performing pianist and vocalist, homemaker, house-designer, and real estate investor. She donated her time and talents playing piano for many school music programs and churches in California and Oregon. Linda sang her entire life with various air force, church, and community choirs n most recently with the Eugene Concert Choir and Central Coast Chorale. She was an active member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church while in Waldport, and Wesley United Methodist Church in Eugene.
Linda Hubbard is survived by her daughters, Meredith Hubbard Morgan of Glenview, Ill., and Kara Hubbard Baldino of El Segundo, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service for Linda will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 434 East Grant in Lebanon. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery in Lebanon.
