A memorial service for William Ray Freeman will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, at the Albany American Legion. He died March 23 in a car accident.

William was born July 23, 1957, in Eureka, Calif., to George M. Freeman and Eva N. Karlin. His life partner, who joined him in death, was Paula Di-Anna Clary Smith.

William enjoyed seasonal employment in the Christmas tree farming business. He also worked as a jeweler in Albany and in the food service business for Albany General Hospital.

Survivors include his mother, Eva Karlin; his three children; and four siblings.
