William "Bill" D. Harvey of Bellfountain died Dec. 4. He was 74.

Bill was born to Lester G. and Pearl Dahlgren Harvey in Timberlake, S.D. He graduated from Corvallis High School and worked most of his life in the logging industry. He served in the Marines during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing during his free time.

Bill is survived by his son, Jace Harvey of Dallas, Ore.; daughter, Dora Johnson of Hanford, Calif.; brothers, Erwin Harvey of Corvallis, Glenn Harvey of Albany, Orlyn Harvey of Sutherlin and Daryl Harvey of Crabtree; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Christman; and sisters Ruth Madison and Donna Humphrey.

At his request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
