Jason Daniel Sweeney of Corvallis died Wednesday at his home. He was 16.

He was born in Corvallis to Glen and Melinda Parker Sweeney. He was a sophomore at Corvallis High School.

He enjoyed theater, comedy, making movies and traveling to large U.S. cities. He had acted in the Extreme Theater at the Albany Civic Theater and coached at area tennis camps.

Survivors include his parents; brother, Mike of Corvallis; sisters, Annette, Sonia and Sarah of Corvallis; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at the Corvallis First Methodist Church. A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 27, at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, in Portland.
