Irene J. Ludington, 82 of Corvallis died Saturday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 9, 1926, in Dallas, she was the daughter of William and Byrda Vogt.

Irene was a homemaker and daycare provider for many years. She will be remembered as a loving caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Norman S. Ludington; her parents; and her brother, Larry Vogt. Irene is survived by her daughter, Gloria Ludington of Corvallis; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Pat Ludington of Fairfield, Calif.; five grandchildren, Dale, Karen, Theresa, Cristina and Aaron; and nine great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth Olson and Betty Morris; and brothers Vernon Vogt, John Vogt and Ray Vogt.
