Dolores Salas Borgir, 78, of Seattle, Wash., died last week at her home after a struggle with cancer.

She was born in Venezuela, but grew up in Oslo, Norway, where she studied piano at the Oslo Conservatory of Music. She married Tharald Borgir, after which she studied at the Juilliard School in New York City. They came to Corvallis in 1967, and raised their children here. An accomplished pianist, Dolores gave many concerts around the world, and frequently honored Corvallis audiences with her performances.

Survivors include her husband; their children, Rune, Emil, Hilde and Erik; and a granddaughter, Alaya.
