Born Christmas Eve, 1945, in Oakland, Calif., to Dr. and Mrs. Roland Rose, Suzanne Rose Vinson died April 20 in Menlo Park, Calif., with her husband, daughters and sister at her side. Suzanne considered her life fulfilled through loving and caring for family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Ted; daughters Melanie and Heather; grandchildren Sophie and Malcolm; sister and brother-in-law Janice and David Hill; and sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Bill Vinson and their children Amanda and Jim.
Suzanne grew up in Danville, Calif., and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1967 and 1968. Much of her adult life was spent in Corvallis, where she worked at the Oregon State University Student Health Services for many years, retiring in 2004 to help rear her wonderful grandchildren. Her family traveled extensively and lived abroad, making many friends around the world.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Gwen Rose; siblings Randall, Keith and Janet; and son-in-law Daniel Weiser.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Society or the American Cancer Society.
She will be missed by all who knew her and will be forever in the loving memory of her family.
