Connie passed away Dec. 15, 2007, after a long illness with multiple organ complications at the Renown Hospital in Reno, Nev. She was born Dec. 17, 1940, in Tonopah, Nev., to Robert Lewis and Eva Selig Cox, and moved with her mother to Corvallis in 1944.
A graduate of Corvallis High School, she married James Bullard in 1959 and moved with her husband to Salinas, Calif. When their daughter was 1 year old she and her daughter moved to Reno, Nev. She worked for her uncle in his prefab housing business. She met and married Jack Patterson in 1963. They had one son together.
Connie became a Realtor and pursued a successful career in real estate until her illness. Connie loved to cook and bake, especially when family and friends were around to enjoy the results of her efforts. She will be remembered with love in our hearts always.
Connie leaves behind her husband of 26 years, George Foster of Reno, Nev.; her daughter, Cyndee, and husband Mark Joncas of Gardnerville, Nev.; her son, Robert, and wife Maggie Patterson, and grandson Ryan Patterson of Albuquerque, N.M.; her mother, Eva Cotner of Johnson City, Ore.; two sisters, Patti Johnson of Corvallis and Debby and husband Steve Lister of Auburn, Wash.; brother Robert Stehle of Clackamas, Ore.; six nieces and five nephews; stepsons John and wife Eileen Foster, three grandsons of Nevada City, Calif., and Jeff and wife Juliana Foster of Reno, Nev.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Walton Funeral Home. Celebration of her life was held Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, in Reno, Nev.
Remembrances can be made to a Hospice of your choice or the American Cancer Society.
