David L. Shriver, 79, of Corvallis died January 6, 2018.
Born in Clifton, Colorado, the middle child of Herschel and Mable Shriver’s five children, he served in the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego, where he met and married Hazel (Jeani) McKee.
Following completion of his degree in engineering at Weber State, Dave worked for Hewlett Packard from 1970 until his retirement in 1996.
An adventurer and athlete, he traveled the world with Jeani, owned and flew two small airplanes, and was an avid golfer and fly fisherman.
Dave was preceded in death by his son, Scott; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeani Shriver; daughter, Pam Aronson (Paul); grandson, Aaron Chritton (Kaitlynn); two great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Shriver (Ginger); and sister, Geraldine Schorn.
Private interment will be at Palestine Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Northwest Hills Community Church, 3300 NW Walnut Blvd, Corvallis.
