Marian (Mary) Kay Kingsbury passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at her home in Corvallis, with her husband by her side, after an 18-month-long battle with cancer. She was 60.

Mary was born on June 30, 1953, to Eva and Webster Falk. She spent her childhood on a family farm in Suver. During her childhood and teenage years, she loved spending time with her horses.

Mary moved to Corvallis in 1970 with her mother. On Aug. 23, 1975, Mary married Dean T. (Tom) Kingsbury Jr. in Corvallis. Mary worked for an answering service for 12 years and then went on to work at Campbell’s Cleaners, where she was a presser for 20 years.

Mary loved animals of all kinds, but always had a special love for cocker spaniels. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed sewing and doing crossword puzzles.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Webster Falk, in 1960; her brother Verl Falk in 1997; her brother Alton Falk in 2008; and her mother, Eva Stufflebeam, in 2012. Mary is survived by her husband, Tom Kingsbury; mother-in-law, Nelda Kingsbury; sister-in-law, Petrea Kingsbury; and daughter, Valerie Kingsbury, all of Corvallis.

A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Meadow Park Clubhouse, 277 N.E. Conifer Blvd. in Corvallis. Memorial contributions can be made to Heartland Humane Society.
