One person was killed and two others injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday night on Highway 99E near Linn-Benton Community College.

Two people in a pickup were hospitalized after the wreck, which was reported to 9-1-1 at 6:06 p.m. The highway was shut down at the college as police and Oregon Department of Transportation workers investigated near the battered pickup and a crumpled black sedan. To the south was a white sedan involved in the crash, whose driver was cooperating with authorities.

“If anybody witnessed this crash, I would love to talk with them,” said Sgt. Jerry Drum of the Albany Police Department.
