The Chi Omega sorority at Oregon State University is planning a 5-kilometer fundraising paint run to benefit Make-A-Wish Oregon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The event begins at the Irish Bend Covered Bridge on the western edge of the campus.

In a paint run, runners are splashed with different colors (usually of corn starch) at each kilometer.

The sorority hopes to raise $10,000 from the event, dubbed “Color Me Chi O.” Make-A-Wish Oregon grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Individual registration costs $25 (which includes sunglasses, a T-shirt, and a personal color packet). Nonrunners may buy individual color packets to join in the color tosses for $2 each or a unisex T-shirt for $15.
