Investigators believe that a 20-year-old OSU student, whose body was found on the south side of campus early Thursday morning, intentionally jumped from Bloss Hall.

Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into the death of the man, whose name is not being released due to the sensitivity of the situation and his family, according to OSP’s Lt. Steve Mitchell.

A janitorial employee discovered the man’s body in the parking lot west of Bloss Hall at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, Mitchell said. Evidence at the scene indicates the man jumped from near the top of the seven-story Bloss Hall residence building and died from his injuries.

OSP was assisted at the scene by the Benton County Medical Examiner, OSU Department of Public Safety and Corvallis Fire Department.

No flowers at the scene. That made me sad.

There was a memorial in place, elsewhere on campus. There is now a bench in his memory on campu, as well.
