A 21-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday evening when he was struck by a car while in a crosswalk in Corvallis.
Police say the driver, identified as Ashley Ordway, failed to stop for the man as he walked across the street at 945 NW Circle Blvd. The crash occurred about 6:23 p.m.
The man went through the windshield of the Toyota Corolla that Ordway was driving, police said. The pedestrian suffered two broken legs, a broken scapula and scrapes, according to police.
Police cited Ordway with careless driving — accident and failure to stop for a pedestrian.
