Samantha Post and Dan Maslanik are engaged to be married Aug. 8, 2009, in Philomath.
Samantha is the daughter of Henry and Ruth Post of Philomath. She is a 2005 graduate of Philomath High School and attends Willamette University. Samantha plans to graduate from Willamette University in May 2009, majoring in rhetoric and media studies.
Dan is the son of Jim and Miriam Maslanik of Boulder, Colo. He is a 2005 graduate of Fairview High School and attends Willamette University. Dan plans to graduate from Willamette University in May 2009, majoring in economics, and in May 2010 with a Masters of Business Administration in finance.
Dan proposed to Samantha on the Willamette University soccer field immediately after the first game of her senior soccer season.
