Corvallis Police Department

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13

FAIL TO REPORT AS SEX OFFENDER: 9:57 a.m., 2100 block of Southwest Butterfield Drive, Corvallis. Police cited Normand Gerard Paradis, 70, of Corvallis, for failing to report as a sex offender after he reportedly moved to a new address and did not inform police within 10 days.

PACKAGE THEFT: 3:28 p.m., 900 block of Northwest Oak Avenue, Corvallis. A woman reported that she filmed a man stealing a package. She described the man to police and said he was riding a bicycle with an attached red and yellow trailer. Police located a man nearby who reportedly matched the description. The man, identified as Danny Ray Caldwell, reportedly admitted to stealing the package, which contained a small Guardians of the Galaxy action figure. Police arrested Caldwell for mail theft.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12

DUII: 8:35 a.m., Northeast Highway 20 and Northeast Asbahr Ave, Corvallis. A deputy stopped a car after reportedly seeing the driver smoking from a glass marijuana pipe while driving. The deputy arrested the driver, Felipe Medina Jr., 27, of Albany, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Medina did not have alcohol in his blood.

Oregon State Police

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12

DUII: 1:05 a.m., Southwest 35th Street and Southwest Sagebrush Drive, Corvallis. A trooper stopped a car and the driver, Pui Hang Wong, 22, reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening. The trooper arrested Wong for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Wong reportedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent.
