Corvallis Police Department


INJURY CRASH: 6:17 p.m., 300 block of Northwest Harrison Boulevard, Corvallis. Police responded after a driver, identified as Rebekah George, allegedly failed to obey a red traffic light at the intersection and collided into another car. Passengers in George’s car were taken to the hospital. Police issued George citations for careless driving and failure to obey a traffic control device.

CARELESS DRIVING: 10:48 p.m., Northwest Sequoia Avenue and Northwest Ninth Street, Corvallis. Police cited Jerry Mikkelsen for careless driving after he allegedly drove over a median in the center of the road and destroyed a reflective crosswalk sign.

CARELESS DRIVING: 11:24 p.m., 2200 block of Northwest Ninth Street, Corvallis. Police cited David Tracy for careless driving after he allegedly went over a crosswalk median.


FAILURE TO MAINTAIN LANE: 6:55 a.m., 800 block of Northwest Ninth Street, Corvallis. Police responded to a crash and found an electronic pedestrian cross walk signal sheared off at the ground and lying in the road. Ananya Shah reportedly told police she had been driving and could only see through a six-to-eight inch defrosted section of her front windshield and struck the crosswalk signal not having realized she was driving into the turn lane. Police cited Shah for failure to maintain lane.


TRESPASSING: 5:30 a.m., 1700 block of Southwest Whiteside Drive, Corvallis. A man reported that he and his wife woke when they heard someone open their bedroom door. The man told police he said something and the bedroom door closed. The couple then heard someone walk out the front door of the house and close the door behind them. Nothing appeared to be missing. Police searched the area but did not find the suspect.

ASSAULT: 9 a.m., 700 block of Northwest Third Street, Corvallis. Police arrested Jonathan Billetter, 23, of Corvallis, for fourth-degree assault, menacing, disorderly conduct, interfering with a peace officer and unlawful use of a weapon following an alleged domestic assault. Billetter also allegedly tried to flee from officers.

ASSAULT: 8:31 p.m., 3900 block of Northwest Witham Hill Drive, Corvallis. Police arrested Jaye Ryan Jones, 27, of Corvallis, for two counts of fourth-degree assault and one count of harassment following an alleged domestic assault.

METH: 11:38 p.m., 700 block of Southeast Bridgeway Avenue, Corvallis. Police responded for a report of a loud noise. Officers contacted Jonathan Heath and, upon searching him, reportedly found a clear glass pipe with white residue inside. Police cited Heath for possession of methamphetamine.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office


INJURY CRASH: 11:41 a.m., Bellfountain Road and Starr Creek Road, Philomath. A car was traveling south on Bellfountain Road and negotiating a left hand curve near Milepost 8 when the driver reportedly lost control on the icy corner, spun across the road and went into the ditch. A passenger was taken to the hospital.
