CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 7:25 a.m., 2001 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis. Police responded to Dutch Bros for a vandalism complaint. A man reported someone had written on a parked vehicle that had signs displaying anti-Semitic messages. An unknown college-aged man had written, “F--- you Nazi Scum” across the signs in Sharpie. The man was not located. The owner of the vehicle was not present during the incident but was identified as James Marr of Eugene.

SCAM: 10:30 a.m., 300 block of Southeast Lilly Avenue, Corvallis. A man reported he sold a computer on Craigslist to “Tonnie Hooker III” for $770. He said he received a check in the mail for $2,300 with instructions to send the rest back via Western Union. The man wired the money from his bank account and then found out the check did not clear, for a total loss of $1,530. The man said “Hooker” had told him he would arrange for someone to pick up the computer in person but the person never arrived.

ATTEMPTED THEFT: 3:17 p.m., 900 block of Northwest 10th Street, Corvallis. A man told police he confronted a man who tried to steal a package from his porch. The man said that when he confronted the suspect, the suspect tried to convince him he was a neighbor. Police searched the area for the suspect but did not find him.
