TUESDAY, JAN. 2

FAIL TO REGISTER AS SEX OFFENDER: 9:02 a.m., 180 Northwest Fifth Street, Corvallis. Police cited Michael D. Koller, 47, of Corvallis, for failing to register as a sex offender.

BURGLARY: 5 p.m., 200 block of Northwest 12th Street, Corvallis. A man reported that someone had broken a window at his home sometime during Christmas break. The man said only food was taken from the residence. No suspects were identified.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: 10:33 p.m., 4100 block of Western Boulevard, Corvallis. Police responded for a report of an assault and found a woman with a swollen eyelid and bruised cheek. The woman said Michael Patrick Flanagan, 59, of Corvallis, had thrown her to the ground and punched her in the face five to six times. Flanagan said the woman came after him and scratched him in the face, so he took hold of her to calm her down. Police arrested Flanagan for fourth-degree assault.
