TUESDAY, JANUARY 9
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: 11:08 a.m., 600 block of Southwest Sixth Street, Corvallis. A man reported hearing a bang and his car alarm going off in front of his house. He said when he looked outside, he saw a man getting onto a bicycle behind his car and riding away. Police contacted Michael Allen Reigstad, 53, a short distance away. He admitted to riding down that street but denied getting off his bicycle or touching any cars. Police cited Reigstad for attempted unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
FAILURE TO REGISTER AS SEX OFFENDER: 3:12 p.m., 700 block of Northeast Circle Boulevard, Corvallis. Police cited Kyle Anthony Williams, 26, of Corvallis, for reportedly failing to update his sex offender registration when he moved to a new residence.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10
INJURY CRASH: 5:52 p.m., 700 block of Northwest Lewisburg Avenue, Corvallis. A man was riding his bike east on Lewisburg Avenue when a cat ran in front of him, and he crashed his bike. He told police he was unsure if he hit the cat. The man was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with a possible concussion.
