MONDAY, MARCH 5
DUII: 2:31 p.m., 2400 block of Northwest Ninth Street, Corvallis. Police responded after a man reported observing a man driving a car and acting erratically. Police located Bruce Ronald Gomez, 39, inside a car. Gomez was reportedly talking gibberish, moving his jaw, fidgeting with his arms and legs and sweating profusely and his pupils were very small. Police arrested Gomez for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Gomez reportedly told police he had smoked methamphetamine.
TUESDAY, MARCH 6
BURGLARY: 1:30 a.m., 200 block of Northwest 15th Street, Corvallis. A man reported someone entered his unlocked front door and stole two laptops and a Dakine backpack. No suspects were identified.
THEFT: 12:51 p.m., 777 NW Kings Boulevard, Corvallis. Police responded to the Fred Meyer parking lot. A woman reported she was in the backseat of a car when a woman opened the front passenger door and tried to steal her purse from the seat. The woman in the back seat yelled, and the burglar fled the area in a car. Several officers responded but did not locate the suspect’s car. Police determined that car had been stolen in Clackamas County.
