Corvallis Police Department

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 15

THEFT: 1:22 p.m., 700 block of Southwest 10th Street, Corvallis. A woman reported a passenger window on her car was broken and someone had stolen her wallet from the car.

TRESPASSING: 10:35 p.m., 2600 block of Northwest Ninth Street, Corvallis. A man reported he was in the 7-11 parking lot putting something in his trunk when a woman opened the passenger door to his car and got inside. The woman reportedly refused to leave and said someone was trying to kill her. The man told the woman he had a knife and would defend himself and the woman got out of the car. Police identified the woman and determined she was suffering from drug-induced mental instability. She is not facing charges for the incident.

THURSDAY, NOV. 16

BURGLARY: 2 p.m., 400 block of Southwest C Avenue, Corvallis. Someone entered into a home through a window and stole over $10,000 in cash and jewelry. No suspects have been identified.

DUII: 8:01 p.m., 1800 block of Northwest Ninth Street, Corvallis. Police responded to the Office Max parking lot after someone reported a woman was inside the store with two children and was intoxicated. Police identified the woman as Rebecca Katharine Dennis, 35, of Corvallis. Dennis reportedly admitted to police that she had been drinking and driving with her children in the car. Police arrested Dennis for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless endangering. She reportedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.2 percent.

FRIDAY, NOV.R 17

TRESPASSING: 1:35 a.m., 500 block of Northwest 19th Street, Corvallis. A woman reported a man kicked in her door and entered her house. Police responded and found a man, identified as Blake Scot Knirk, 21, sitting on the woman’s couch. Police arrested Knirk, who reportedly told police he believed he was at a different residence on Northwest 14th Street. Knirk reportedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.18 percent.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 15

BURGLARY: 12:55 p.m., 24500 block of Gellatly Way, Philomath. A man reported someone entered his home and stole $5,000 in cash from his gun safe. No suspects have been identified.

Oregon State Police

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 15

DUII: 12:03 a.m., Southwest 15th Street and Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis. A trooper stopped a car that reportedly failed to maintain its lane. The trooper arrested the driver, Michael Eugene Crist, 60, of Philomath, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Crist reportedly had no alcohol in his system and refused to be evaluated by a drug recognition expert.
