VIOLENT CONDUCT: 5:37 p.m., 4300 block of Northwest Witham Hill Drive, Corvallis. A man, identified as David B. Samet, 26, of Corvallis, reported he had hired a cat sitter for the Thanksgiving weekend. Samet reportedly said the woman did not clean out the litterbox, so he did not feel comfortable paying her the entire amount he had said he would. Samet told police that when the woman and her boyfriend arrived to return the his key and accept their payment, the woman’s boyfriend, identified as Frank E. Burns, 21, of Albany, punched him repeatedly in the face. However, Burns said Samet punched the woman’s stomach and then punched him. Burns reportedly told police Samet “screamed at them that he was going to kill them.” A neighbor reported hearing a crash and a man yelling “Ow." Police cited Samet and Burns for violent conduct.


PACKAGE THEFT: 2:44 p.m., 300 block of Northwest 26th Street, Corvallis. A woman reported a package was delivered to her on Monday and that when she arrived home it was not there. The woman checked the area and did not find her package but found two other discarded packages nearby. No suspects were identified.
