TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31
MENACING: 7:25 p.m., 800 block of Southwest 11th Street, Corvallis. Police responded after a woman reported her sister, identified as Amber Jolyn Mowdy, 35, of Corvallis, was threatening her with a knife. Officers found the alleged victim had barricaded herself in her bedroom. Mowdy reportedly admitted to chasing her sister and telling her she was going to stab her. Police arrested Mowdy for menacing.
BIKE VERSUS CAR CRASH: 8:15 p.m., Southwest Third Street and Southwest Washington Avenue, Corvallis. A driver said he was traveling westbound on Washington Avenue when he clipped the back tire of a bicycle. He said he did not see the cyclist because the cyclist did not have a light on his bike. The cyclist, who had been riding south on Third Street, was not injured. No citations were issued.
BURGLARY: 8:37 p.m., 300 block of Northwest Ninth Street, Corvallis. Two people reported a man they did not know attempted to gain entry to their property.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1
DUII: 3:43 a.m., Northwest Ninth Street and Northwest Spruce Avenue, Corvallis. An officer stopped a car after it allegedly made an unsignaled turn. The officer arrested the driver, Derrick Ogawa-Staples, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Ogawa-Staples reportedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent.
