The OSU Waste Watchers Club will be holding its Winter Repair Fair from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15.

Students and the public can bring damaged or broken items in for free repair while also learning how to mend these items.

The fair takes place at the OSUsed Store at 644 SW 13th St. in Corvallis. Volunteers will offer a variety of do-it-yourself and repair skills to assist people with mending their damaged goods.

In addition to free repairs, three DIY demonstrations will be available during the event. The demo from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. will show attendees how to calculate their carbon footprint. Two demos from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. will teach attendees how to make their own body scrub and care for succulent plants.

OSU’s waste-reduction volunteer club, the Waste Watchers, hosts the repair fairs. Campus Recycling and the Student Sustainability Initiative jointly operate the club.
