The Social Security Administration recently sent a notice to all Social Security recipients that late in May each one of us will be receiving $250 from our federal government as part of the Economic Recovery Plan.

Probably for many of us this $250 was not anticipated and, though the money would come in handy, it isn't really needed to maintain our current lifestyle. Maybe this would be a good opportunity for many readers to help out those truly in need during these tough economic times by donating their $250 to one of the local non-profit organizations that are struggling to help the increasing number of truly needed people. If 1,000 readers each donated their $250, just think how much good could be done with that additional quarter-million dollars.
