This letter is to inform all Medicare-covered individuals who have Medicare Part D coverage that Samaritan Health Services does not bill Medicare Part D.
Patients aren’t allowed to bring their medications to the hospital, therefore the hospital administers those medications and bills them as self-administerable drugs, which are covered by Medicare Part D.
Samaritan Health Services has opted to not bill Medicare Part D, therefore the patient has to contact their provider for the forms to submit for reimbursement. The amount of reimbursement is determined by the provider per your Medicare Part D policy.
You must provide a list of these drugs and the amount billed. This information can be provided by Samaritan Health Services.
