Here are some local events happening Saturday, July 5:

Local First Breakfast, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Odd Fellows Hall, 223 S.W. Second St., Corvallis. Cost:$5 for adults, $3 for children under age 12. This is the final breakfast for the year.

Corvallis Artisans Market, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., First Street and Monroe Avenue, on the downtown Corvallis riverfront. Features work by local artists and crafters and a kids activities. Music: Poitin and Stout and others. Information: 752-ARTS or www.corvallisartisansmarket.com.

Corvallis Farmers' Market, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., First Street and Jackson Avenue, on the downtown riverfront. Locally grown produce, flowers, nursery plants, honey, eggs, cheese, meats and baked goods. Honeybee demonstration hive with Mitebee Farm. DaVinci Days staffs the market booth. Music: Haymakers, 9:30 a.m. Information: 752-1510 or www.locallygrown.org.

Recycle in Wren, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., near the railroad tracks by the Wren Firehall, Wren Road. On the first Saturday of each month, the Allied Waste recycling truck will be in Wren to accept recyclable materials.

Grand opening for Lewisburg Center, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5260 N.W. Highway 99W, four miles north of downtown Corvallis. Silent auction benefit for the Mario Pastega House. Items donated by local businesses. Refreshment provided.

12th Annual Philomath Classic Car Show, 10 to 4 p.m., Philomath City Park at 23rd and Applegate streets. Registration will be from 7 to 10 a.m., public viewing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., awards at 3 p.m. and a cruise around town will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Information: www.philomathclassic.com.
