I have been influenced by that dangerous, subversive thing ... a book. It has influenced me to start a movement. I will not protest in the streets; I will not fire a gun. I will sit in my recliner at the end of the day and listen to politicians and news commentators ... and I will think.

As the politicians and news commentators ponder and plan for the well-being of the middle class, for example, I will mentally insert the word "White" ... the "White middle class. I will ask myself "Which middle class?" I will train myself to question power and politicians in this way until I kill racism with a thousand thoughts ... and you can be my accomplice. Our thinking will influence our interactions and our voting ... and we will become a movement.

Please read "We Were Eight Years in Power" by Ta-Nehisi Coates ... and think.
