We support Measure 101. In the 2017 legislative session, House Bill 2391 had numerous committee hearings with all the stakeholders involved. After months of deliberation it passed the Oregon Legislature with bipartisan support. It was carefully crafted and is supported by those paying the tax. Process matters.
Forty-nine states have some type of provider assessment like Measure 101 in order to increase the number of residents with health insurance. Currently over 95 percent of Oregonians and 100 percent of children have health insurance. Let's keep Oregon moving forward and vote to strengthen our health care system.
The people on the front line of health care support this measure. Please join us and over 160 organizations such as the League of Women of Voters Oregon, AARP Oregon , Oregon Nurses Association, and the Oregon Education Association in supporting this essential piece of the health care puzzle. We encourage you to vote "yes" on Measure 101.
