The February days are few

Think groundhogs and valentines

With Mardi Gras between the two

And President’s Day signs

We’re ready for the winter’s end

And picture it Hawaiian

But reality we can’t suspend

It’s like wet dandelions

Perhaps that is too bleak and grim

The days are not so stark

And daffodils are looking prim

As light gains on the dark

The arctic air’s no longer near

So spring is now a dream

The surest sign of it is here

A top-ranked Beaver baseball team

Go Beavs!
