As an educator, I firmly believe that the success of our community depends upon the success of our young people. And, as a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis board, I see in the Johnson Center for Youth Excellence project an important physical manifestation of our commitment to our young people’s success. In this project, our community is preparing to add permanent and dedicated programming space for Benton County teens, providing a place that supports the academic and life success of all our youth.
As our community grows, it is especially important that we support the programs available at the club, ensuring that our youth have the resources to enable them to envision and prepare for their future – a that future will not only benefit them but will in turn contribute to the cultural and economic health of the community that we share.
If you have not yet added your support to this important community project, I hope you will join me in helping to provide the resources that will open the doors of the Johnson Center for Youth Excellence in the fall of 2018.
