Vaccine supporters Sandra Bean and Michael Rodriguez are obviously enthusiastic and emotionally invested but misinformed by one-sided corporate media and industry-scripted university programs promoting vaccines like nobody’s business, especially that of questionable vaccine makers, Big Pharma, and corrupt medical authorities who monopolize health care, riding herd over lowly citizens and doctors.
You know something’s wrong when parents, public, and physicians aren’t supposed to question things; use their professional training, science-based insights, and practical experience to discuss problems; or rationally object to potentially harmful or ineffective medical practices including vaccinations.
So discovered Suzanne Humphries, M.D., author of "Dissolving Illusions: Disease, Vaccines, and the Forgotten History," an essential history of communicable disease, vaccinations, and urban environmental and social reforms.
She and co-author Roman Bystrianyk dug deep and produced a critical connective social, statistical, and scientific history of communicable diseases from 1800s through modern times. Using many hundreds of references and national health, labor, hospital, and mortality statistics, kept since 1838 in Britain, 1900 in the U.S., they discovered a dramatic (more than 90 percent) decline of most viral and bacterial illnesses — which were rapidly disappearing before vaccines were introduced.
It’s plain as day — what nearly eliminated infamous infectious diseases in developed countries was dozens of public health measures including water purification, food inspections, better nutrition, garbage collection vs. throwing waste and dead animals in the streets, instituting sewage systems, refrigeration, improved hygiene, certain technologies, and rising living standards, not the grossly misrepresented, profit-motivated, and dubious vaccines.
